Hello again! It has been a while...
Here are a few photos of the Easter weekend. Bev and Adele drove up from Bristol to visit us and it has been lovely!
On Friday we went to the National Museum of Scotland. I really enjoyed having a bit of a wander around on my own being able to look at the displays without little people. :) Dominic made this lovely pattern in imitation of the Islamic designs

On Saturday we went to Edinburgh castle. Fraser was unfortunately feeling ill and didn't come. There was lots going on for the holiday weekend including a wedding! Dominic and Robin decided to have a good dance to the bagpiper. There were lots of people wandering around in historical costume, including this guy who taught us all about battle techniques of 700 years ago.

We all had a go with pikes and had fun intimidating the enemy!
After the castle, Bev drove us to Five Guys to pick up takeaway and then we hurried home for a spiritual feast in the form of General Conference.
On Sunday we all went over to Gordon and Silvia's house for a bit of a get together with everyone bringing part of a scrumptious roast dinner. The weather was unbelievably gorgeous and warm and we had an Easter egg hunt in the garden for the children and stroll out in the Pentland hills.
Dominic and Kaitlyn were leading the way up the hill together

Dominic and Gordon waiting for the others to catch up

Blinking in the bright sunlight! A great view out across Edinburgh

Then back to the house for a little General Conference watching party.
On Easter Monday, we had more beautiful weather and we headed out to Cramond Island. It was foggy at first but it soon lifted and we had some glorious views. The boys enjoyed honing their rock climbing skills. Fraser prentended to be Gandalf.

Robin singing his way across the causeway despite soaking wet feet!

Dominic in Cramond Village with his hat on inside out. It is so nice to shed the bulky coats of winter for some lighter summer gear.

Adele wanted to see the Japanese garden at Lauriston castle so we headed there next. I hadn't heard of this castle before but I'm glad we've found it now.

We rounded off the long weekend with Fraser and I going out for a date while Bev looked after the boys. We went to a great little Korean place and ate bibimbap just like on our first date :) Then we had stroll round the edge of Holyrood park and some hot chocolate on the Royal Mile. Perfect end to a fabulous weekend!
I hope to get back into blogging more again so watch out for additional posts soon.
